Is orthodontics only for children and teens?

Though orthodontic treatment is often prescribed to children and teens, it’s safe and effective for adults.

OrthoSnap Braces

OrthoSnap braces are similar to Invisalign oral aligners. The difference is they’re made from a different type of plastic. The plastic is similarly durable but generic, so the aligners are more affordable. Orthosnap is an excellent treatment option for budget-conscious individuals and families.

What happens during orthodontic treatment?

If Dr. Ripa determines you can benefit from orthodontics, he uses an intraoral camera to scan your mouth. Then, he uses a special software program to develop a custom treatment plan, mapping out the movements of your teeth and jaw.

After finalizing your treatment plan, Dr. Ripa sends the scans to an orthodontic lab. The lab then manufactures a series of custom orthodontic aligners specifically for your upper or lower dental arch.

During orthodontic treatment, you visit Trump Village Dental every three or four weeks. At each checkup, Dr. Ripa gives you new aligners and monitors your progress.

How long does orthodontic treatment take?

Orthodontic treatment with Invisalign or OrthoSnap usually takes 12-18 months.* You can speed up the process by following Dr. Ripa’s instructions and wearing your aligners 20-22 hours daily, only removing them to eat, brush, or floss.
